What has surprised you most about Berkadia?
What surprised me most was how collaborative Berkadia is. During my time with Berkadia I’ve experienced a very team-oriented environment.
What led you to Berkadia?
Being that I was previously in agency recruiting (IT), I didn’t have prior CRE experience. Berkadia was in the market for a Sourcing Specialist in the Innovation space, and with the experience that I accumulated at the time, it was a great opportunity to transition into internal recruitment while also being able to still sharpen my skills in the IT space.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone interviewing with Berkadia?
The best advice I can give someone interviewing would be to ask questions. The interview process should be a two-way street, meaning that yes, we are trying to find the right candidate, but all candidates should also be doing their due diligence to make sure the company that they are interviewing with is the right one for them as well. Asking questions during the process is the best way to get multiple perspectives on what Berkadia is all about.
What is your favorite Berkadia value?
“We take the long view.” – this one is self-explanatory, but the idea of focusing on long-term value rather than short-term gain is one that I try to live by in my professional and personal life.
