Berkadia Adds Director to Medical & Life Sciences Platform
Minneapolis, MN – August 7, 2023 – Berkadia announced today the addition of Director Patrick Abeln to the Medical & Life Sciences platform. Abeln will be based in Minneapolis and will be focusing on debt placement and JV equity structuring. Abeln will report to Senior Managing Director – Head of Medical & Life Sciences Sabrina Solomiany.
“Patrick joining the Medical & Life Sciences platform is pivotal in expanding our mortgage banking capabilities,” said Solomiany. “Patrick has over nine years of experience in the healthcare real estate industry, and I’m thrilled to have him on the team.”
Prior to joining Berkadia, Abeln served as Assistant Vice President at Hammes Partners, an institutional private equity platform that invests exclusively in healthcare real estate. He was responsible for sourcing all financing on acquisition and development projects. He was directly responsible for sourcing over $3 billion in debt from lenders nationwide.
Abeln graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. He achieved the CFA designation in 2012.
