Berkadia Adds Senior Vice President of Capital Markets

ATLANTA, GA – December 4, 2023 – Berkadia announced today the addition of Mike Cale, who will be joining as Senior Vice President – Capital Markets. Cale will be responsible for managing third-party lending relationships for Berkadia including Life Insurance Companies, Debt Funds, CMBS, and Banks and managing production for Berkadia’s proprietary bridge lending capabilities. He will sit in the Atlanta, Georgia office and report to EVP – Production and Capital Markets Hilary Provinse.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Cale was at Pimco Prime Real Estate where he served as Co-Head of Debt Investments. Cale joined Pimco in 2019 and has over 20 years of experience in real estate and valuations. His expertise includes providing investors with creative loan structures for complex transactions, spanning the multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality sectors. Cale has originated and structured over $15 billion in debt and equity investments through a network of established relationships with sponsors and brokers across the country.

Prior to joining Pimco, Cale spent over 13 years at Voya Investment Management including the role of Senior Vice President – Head of Capital Markets where he was responsible for the firm’s bridge lending platform.

Cale graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate and also received his Master of Business Administration from there as well. He is currently a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) representing the Industrial and Office Development Council (IOPC) and is a member of the Executive Advisory Board for the Real Estate Program at the Florida State University College of Business.
