Berkadia Adds Two Investment Sales Advisors to Hotels & Hospitality Platform
NEW YORK, NY – January 10, 2023 – Berkadia announced today the addition of Senior Managing Directors Jared Kelso and Steve Michels to Berkadia Hotels & Hospitality. Kelso and Michels, industry veterans, will be based in New York City. They will report to Berkadia Head of Hotels & Hospitality Andy Wimsatt.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Kelso and Michels were at Cushman & Wakefield, where they served as the co-heads of the national hospitality capital markets practice group. At Berkadia, they will help build a nationally coordinated, team-centric approach to the advisory business, across both the investment sales and mortgage banking platforms, including debt placement, note sales, UCC auctions, and equity recapitalizations.

Kelso and Michels both received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and Michels earned his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
