On July 18, the 2024 Berkadia ONE Forum, an industry-leading event designed to promote the interests of Black-led commercial real estate firms and executives of color, was recognized with ICE USA’s Best Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Event Award.
The second annual event, attended by Berkadians, clients, and industry partners, was held at the Salamander Washington D.C. Hotel and featured panels on equity, capital access, and economic outlook. Highlights included a keynote by Fawn Weaver, recreational activities promoting black-owned businesses, and a gifting experience showcasing black-owned brands.
While the event emphasized diversity, inclusion, and community impact and underscored Berkadia’s commitment to DEIB and ESG initiatives, our objectives were twofold. The first was to host a signature client event that acts as a forum to develop ideas, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the expansion of minority business participation and community development. The second was to give clients the opportunity to experience Berkadia’s philosophy centered around inclusivity in the communities where we work and in our offices. One of the main pillars of our ESG strategy is investing in our people.
