Scott is a Senior Managing Director of Berkadia’s Hotel & Hospitality Group, focused on institutional hotel and resort investment sales, equity transactions and debt placement. He is responsible for the leading and growing Berkadia’s western region hospitality practice. With more than 20 years of real estate experience, Scott has sold/capitalized more than $9 billion in hotel and resort transactions, participated in more than $3 billion of hospitality development and resort residential sales, and sourced receivership, workout and asset management services on more than $5 billion of distressed hotel and resort assets.
Scott joined Berkadia from JLL, where he served as a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the firm’s San Diego Capital Markets office. He joined JLL as part of the company’s acquisition of HFF, a firm he joined in 2012. Prior to HFF, he worked at Lowe Enterprises, where he served as Director and Vice President in the firm’s Real Estate Services and Hospitality groups. Scott spent the earliest portions of his real estate career at Watt Commercial Properties and Fieldstone Communities.
Scott is a native San Diegan who remains active in the local community. He is a former Executive Committee and Board Member for Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation and currently sits on the Executive Planning Committee for the Curebound Cancer Challenge.Scott is a native San Diegan who remains active in the local community.
