Chris Burtner serves as a Director out of the Tampa, FL office. He advises clients on sales and equity placements for commercial real estate assets, with a focus on the multi-housing sector. Chris joined Berkadia in 2024 after nearly a decade in real estate development, acquisitions, asset management, capital markets and principal investing roles across a variety of asset classes and geographies, totaling more than $3 billion of deal experience.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Chris served as the Vice President of Development for Mill Creek Residential, helping lead the firm’s efforts across Central/North Florida. At Mill Creek, his responsibilities included sourcing and negotiating land acquisitions, raising and structuring equity and debt capital, securing entitlements and overseeing design, permitting and construction of Mill Creek communities across the region.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Central Florida and is fluent in English and Spanish.
