Berkadia Completes $30 Million Sale of Multifamily Property in South Carolina

October 7, 2021

CHARLESTON, S.C. and ATLANTA – October 5, 2021 – Berkadia announced today the sale of Brandywine Townhomes, a 170-unit garden-style multifamily property in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Managing Director Mark Boyce and Director Blake Coffey of Berkadia Charleston and Senior Managing Directors Paul Vetter and Andrew Mays and Director Matt White of Berkadia Atlanta together completed the $30 million sale on behalf of the seller, Massachusetts-based VTT Management, and the buyer, California-based Lincoln Avenue Capital. The deal closed on September 23.

“Brandywine was very well received during marketing,” said Boyce. “It’s primed for a light renovation and its exposure to the high traffic counts from St. James Avenue make it an excellent asset in the Charleston sub-market of Goose Creek.”

Located at 202 St. James Ave., Brandywine Townhomes features one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans with granite countertops and oversized windows. Community amenities include a swimming pool, a playground and a laundry facility. Residents are afforded convenient access to Charleston Southern University and the shops and restaurants along U.S. Route 176.
