CHARLESTON, S.C. – May 12, 2022 – Berkadia announced today the sale of and financing secured for Lakewood Lodge, a 130-unit garden-style multifamily property located in the Charleston MSA of Hanahan, South Carolina. Managing Director Mark Boyce and Director Blake Coffey of Berkadia Charleston completed the $24.44 million sale on behalf of the seller, New Jersey-based Eskay Management. The buyer was Virginia-based Cohen Investment Group, and the deal closed on May 4.
Senior Director Josh Finley of Berkadia Atlanta secured $19.198 million in acquisition financing on behalf of the buyer. The loan was financed through Prime Finance.
Located at 6000 Mabeline Road, Lakewood Lodge features one- and two-bedroom floor plans with private patios. Community amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness center, a business center, a clubhouse, a playground and laundry facilities. Residents are afforded convenient access to Goose Creek Reservoir, Hanahan Amphitheater and the shops and restaurants near Route 78.
