The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development recently published lender data for the calendar year of 2023 and Berkadia ranked as the #1 HUD Lender.
With $1.2 billion in HUD volume across 49 transactions, Berkadia FHA/HUD cemented its place as the top FHA-insured lender and the only HUD lender to originate over $1 billion in multifamily transaction volume. This marks the 14th consecutive year that Berkadia has surpassed $1 billion in HUD volume, despite an over 50 percent decrease in HUD’s volume last year.
In addition to earning the #1 HUD Lender, Berkadia FHA/HUD was ranked as the #1 Multifamily Lender, the #1 New Construction Lender, and the #1 Multifamily Affordable Lender in 2023. Berkadia also closed out the year as the #2 Multifamily Refinance Lender and the #6 Healthcare Lender.
