At Berkadia, our success is built upon the talent and hard work of a broad, diversely skilled team. From analysts to loan closing specialists to managing directors each of our people brings a unique background, perspective and expertise. Their work allows Berkadia to remain a leader in the commercial real estate industry.
Today, we’re shining the spotlight on the Talent Acquisition Partner Hannah Farmer, to learn more about her role at Berkadia, what part of her role she is most passionate about, and how her time at Berkadia has helped to accelerate her personal and professional development.

Describe your role at Berkadia.
I am a Talent Acquisition Partner, and my department sits within Berkadia’s greater People Team Organization. My role allows me to partner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders across Berkadia’s multiple business lines to strategize, source, identify, and hire talent for their teams. I have the opportunity to network and connect with so many talented professionals and advocate for them as they hope to join Berkadia.
What part of your role are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about my role in identifying talent that aligns with Berkadia’s culture and mission, while bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to help us reach and exceed our organizational goals.
What excites you most about commercial real estate?
The idea that excites me the most about commercial real estate is the unknown of the future. Since joining, I’ve already seen how quickly and unexpectedly the industry can change and adapt. I am excited to see how Berkadia continues to outpace our competition and be a leader in the space.
When you’re not helping Berkadia move the industry forward, how do you spend your time?
Outside of Berkadia, I’m spending most of my time with my family. We love to spend our weekends outside, whether that is the beach, pool, parks, or grilling and playing with all the toys my toddler has collected! As a first-time homeowner, I’m also always finding a new project to tackle around the house as we continue to make it our own.
How has your time at Berkadia helped to accelerate your personal and professional development?
Berkadia, and more specifically my team’s leadership, has allowed me endless opportunities to grow professionally and personally. I’ve been able to continue to hone in on my skills, while also asking for more opportunity to develop in areas I’m less familiar with. By having supportive leadership, I’m able to try new things, bring ideas to the table, and have ownership in my work and projects.
